Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini (E10i) + CM6.1

I’m well aware of just how old this phone and how inappropriate it is to review it so late, but I just got it, and it’s only been commercially available since July 10.

The phone itself has been billed as the smallest Android powered phone in the world and with these specs, it’s easily believable.

The phone rather sluggishly under the power of its own Launcher, however once I dropped  LauncherPro on there,  very snappy. This phone is reacting the way I’d expect the full size Xperia to.

However,  I love phones and since I’m never content with stock, I’ve  had to go ahead and drop Cyanogenmod 6.1. Let is be said for the record, there is a CM7 version that I will likely try if no other reason that just the fact it’s called “Gigglebread”.  Only regret about going to CM6.1 for this phone is that I lost access to some Sony Ericsson exclusives that I was looking forward to playing with “Timescape, Mediascape, and TrackID”. But so far this little tyke is definitely exceeding expectations.  Unfortunately i can’t give it a full test as it’s GSM/GPRS phone and my primary is Sprint(CDMA/WiMAX). But I am taking steps to evade that.

Do stay tuned I will keeping somewhat regular updates on my experiences with this phone.
